Looking for a place to get married in Columbia?

I’ve had so many people ask me what venues are nice, because they just didn’t know where to start looking! There are SO many great venues in Columbia, but today I’m going to share 7 of my favorites! I’ll show one of my favorite photos from each venue, then link to the Website and Facebook page if possible!

1. The Lace House & Gardens

The house and property have so many beautiful options and possible set up scenarios. Enjoy the gardens, the fountains, the historic house, and more! You need to visit the grounds to understand! They are open to the public from 9-5, Monday-Friday. Check out our full guide on getting married at The Lace House.

2. The Millstone at Adams Pond

One of our all time favorites. If you want an outdoor venue with lots of room and water, you have to check this one out! We have an entire page dedicated to The Millstone at Adams Pond.

3. 701 Whaley

A Columbia Classic! Such an amazing restored historic building. You’ll love the textures and the open space to let your creative juices flow!

4. Wavering Place Plantation

A beautiful historic plantation that is very unique for Columbia. It feels like stepping into a different time and place. This is one of those places you NEED to visit to appreciate.

5. The Hall at Senate’s End

The Hall (and the other available venues at Senate’s End) is a great option if you want to be in downtown Columbia and close to the river! If you love exposed brick and want a space you can make your own, check this one out! Note that the featured image at the top of this post is ALSO at the Hall, and looks completely different.

6. Stone River

Stone River is unique because of the location. It is right on the Congaree River at the Gervais St. Bridge. It is possible to have your ceremony on the pavilion or in the grassy area between the venue and the river. Here is a shot I took of the pavilion, where you can have a small ceremony, cocktail hour, bar, or reception lounge area!

7. City Art Gallery

I absolutely love this spot for a reception! Right in the middle of the Vista, beautiful lighting, and a very classy atmosphere!
